Copyright Registration
We assist individual creators and businesses register their creative works. Registration enables copyright owners to be eligible for statutory damages, attorney fees, and costs of suit if forced to litigate. Registration also entitles copyright owners to work with U.S. Customs and Border Patrol to detain and seize imported goods that violate the owner’s rights. And registering copyrights is relatively inexpensive. Further, the U.S. Supreme Court has recently held that copyright owners must register with the U.S Copyright Office before filing a federal lawsuit for copyright infringement (Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corporation v. Wall-Street.com).
